SMA Advancement: A Common Purpose
At the St. Mary’s Academy Foundation, advancement is synonymous with community-building. Community is more than just a collection of individuals; it's a tapestry of shared experiences, values, and aspirations that bind us together in a common purpose. It's about fostering connections, nurturing relationships, and supporting one another through triumph and adversary. It's also about creating a sense of belonging and inclusivity where every voice is heard and every contribution is valued.
At SMA, we believe that only through collective effort and collaboration can we fully actualize the aspirations of Blessed Mother Marie-Rose Durocher, who envisioned transforming society through the education of young women. Our commitment to community extends beyond the walls of our school and into the broader world around us. Through service initiatives and outreach like Walk for Cancer and Gift Bags From the Heart, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of others and uphold the principles of social justice and compassion that lie at the heart of our mission.
But community-building is not just about what we do—it's also about who we are. It's about cultivating a culture of empathy, respect, and understanding where diversity is celebrated and differences are embraced. It's about recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of every individual and empowering each person to reach their full potential.
That's why we're excited to invite you to join us in our efforts to strengthen and expand our community here at St. Mary's Academy. Whether you're an alumna, parent, friend, or supporter, there are countless opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference.
