Earth Day is recognized globally on Tuesday, April 22. The theme for Earth Day 2025 is OUR POWER, OUR PLANET, inviting everyone around the globe to unite behind renewable energy, and to triple the global generation of clean electricity by 2030. To mark the occasion, our Green Team will be sharing a morning prayer over the announcement, encouraging students to reflect on how they can help conserve energy in their daily lives. During the lunch hour, students are invited to a special Lunch and Learn session to discover more about hydroponics and energy conservation. They'll also get the chance to plant seeds and take them home. Trees and plants help absorb carbon dioxide, one of the main pollutants from cars and factories. When planted near buildings, they also help regulate temperature, which means we can cut down on electricity used for heating and cooling. It’s a simple and powerful way to support clean energy and protect our planet. Earth Day reminds us that we all have a role to play. Whether it’s planting a seed, learning something new, or making a small change at home, every action matters. Find out more about Earth Day at www.earthday.org.
