Grandparents, older adults, elders and mentors are essential, valued and wise members of our families and communities. Healthy relationships, engagement, generosity and gratitude are all life-enriching outcomes of an intergenerational discourse. At St. Mary's Academy we are pleased to host an event which will stimulate conversation and bonding between generational mentors and our SMA students. Generations' Day will be held at St. Mary's Academy, 550 Wellington Crescent, on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
We are inviting the generational mentors of our Grade 7 and Grade 9 students to join us for a special two hour event which will include refreshments, a special activity and a tour of their school. The Grade 7 event will take place during the morning hours and the Grade 9 event will take place in the afternoon.
Guest invitation information will be sent out to the families of Grade 7 and Grade 9 students in February, 2018. Stay tuned for more information.
