Student Leadership

SMA provides an environment and opportunities for young women to identify and develop their talents and leadership potential.

Our clubs are student led, with guidance and mentorship from faculty advisors. Each homeroom has student representatives who participate in the planning for clubs and activities and are an important liaison with their peers.

We firmly believe that our students are the leaders of their future. That's why we encourage student voice and action in a wide variety of activities and roles at every grade level.

At the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year SMA moved away from a single 'Head Girl' system to a 'Leadership Council Co-Chair' system. The Leadership Council unanimously voted to elect two members of the Leadership Council to be Co-Chairs, and together they will take on the role of being the voice of the student body.

Leadership Council Co-Chairs Sophie George '18 and Nicole Kaneski '18.

Leadership Council and our other clubs and activities are examples of the many opportunities students have to foster leadership skills.
